From 26 April to 28 April at the GT Centre in Lagos, the 7th edition of the Food and Drink Festival, organised by the Guaranty Trust Holding Company, GTCO plc, will take place. With a focus on promoting Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises (SMEs), the festival promises an exciting lineup of traditional African and international dishes, along with 12 master classes including a new Kids Baking class.
The organisers, led by Charles Eremi, aim to demonstrate resilience in the face of economic challenges, offering live cooking demonstrations, tasting events, and a wide range of food retailers, all free to attend.
The importance of the festival, according to Segun Agbaje, Group Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc., has been highlighted and he is pleased that food lovers from Africa and beyond have gathered for a celebration of African cuisine’s diversity. Agbaje reiterated the festival’s commitment to create memorable experiences for participants and support growth of local businesses, while emphasising its role as an event which provides a dynamic platform for young food producers. In addition, the festival offers a wide range of family friendly activities, such as a specially designed play area and a children’s baking class, which are guaranteed to be a memorable experience for all ages.
The GTCO Food and Drink Festival promises to be a dynamic three day event celebrating food, culture, and community with its mix of culinary delights, educational opportunities as well as family friendly fun. The participants will experience an immersive experience reflecting the Festival’s mission to promote culinary innovation, cultural exchange and economic empowerment in Nigeria and abroad, ranging from exploring a diverse cuisine to empowering young chefs.
