GTA Announces Feast Ghana: Celebrating Ghana’s flavors diversity

Prepare your taste buds for a journey through Ghana’s culinary landscape as the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), unveils Feast Ghana. This exciting initiative is set to launch on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, at the Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC).

Feast Ghana is going to be more than just a food festival; it’s going to be a celebration of Ghana’s rich culinary heritage and cultural diversity. Under the theme “Flavours Of Ghana, Celebrating Ghana’s Cultural Diversity Through Food,” the inaugural edition promises to tantalize the senses and ignite a passion for Ghanaian cuisine.

As part of the festivities, Feast Ghana will also pay tribute to the Ladies Club of GTA, which will be hosting its second edition of the “Rep your Region” program. This dynamic initiative celebrates the unique cultural identities of Ghana’s various regions through food, music, and art.

Following its launch, Feast Ghana will embark on a journey to the Ashanti Region on April 22nd, in partnership with the Asanteman Queenmothers Association. This extension of the event aims to honor the 25th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and spotlight the culinary treasures of the region.

According to Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of GTA, “Feast Ghana will represent a unique opportunity to showcase the culinary richness of our nation and celebrate the unity and diversity that food embodies in our culture.

The grand finale of Feast Ghana will take place on May Day at the prestigious Accra International Conference Center, in collaboration with the Public Service Workers Union of the Trades Union Congress (PSWU of TUC). This culminating event promises to be a gastronomic extravaganza, featuring traditional dishes, culinary demonstrations, and live entertainment.
