This particular delicacy is made using unripe plantain but you can as well use semi-ripe plantains if that is what you have.

Ingredients
2 fingers of Unripe Plantains
10 medium Pieces of Beef
A cup of roughly Blended Tomato and pepper mix
1 medium Bulb of Onion
2 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup of Coconut milk
Seasoning cubes
1 teaspoon of Chili powder
Instructions
- Boil your unripe plantain in a pot of water for 10 minutes till it gets soft.
- Boil and season your meat in a different pot and set aside.
- Put oil in a different pot, stir fry the onions first till transluscent then pour the pepper and tomato, seasoning cubes and chilli powder.
- Pour the boiled plantain, coconut milk and beef into the mix, leave it to simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Your Ethiopian plantain and beef stew is ready! Serve hot with a cold drink.
