Akara Mboro is a popular dessert made using beans and banana which means Mboro in Efik, a tribe in a part of Nigeria.
This appetizer has been incorporated into a lot of West African dishes with countries like Cameroon, Sierra Leone having their own versions of it while some also use grated cassava to thicken the mix.
- Mash your bananas and set aside.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together and mix in the bananas into the flour mix.
- Pour the water slowly and continue to mix till mixture is smooth.
- Heat up your oil for deep frying and drop little balls of the mixture.
