Try this South African tasty malva pudding
Unlike its counterparts,this pudding taste different from the other regular puddings consumed.known for It texture of caramel and the cake of the pudding is very soft and moist. The structure of cake comes from lots of butter and syrup used to make it. It is topped which tasty Apricot jam which gives you a perfect bite. Ingredients
- 1 cup castor sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon smooth apricot jam
- All purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
- salt
- butter
- vinegar
- milk
The sauce making
- Sugar
- cream
- butter
- water
- Brandy
- Cherry
- Orange juice
Method
Mix castor sugar and eggs until smooth then add in the jam and beat until a creamy consistency is gotten Sieve dry ingredients into separate bowl.Melt butter in a small pot on a medium heat and add the vinegar and milk.Now add the egg mixture and the butter mixture to the sifted ingredients and mix until well combined.Pour into an ovenproof casserole dish that takes about 2 liters.Bake at 190°C for 45 mins until the top is nicely browned.Melt all the sauce ingredients together in a small pot over a medium heat and pour over the pudding before serving.Serve hot and with ice-cream or custard
