Sumptuous Abacha recipe
Abacha is made out of cassava; they are cooked and sliced with a grater. It is quite popular amongst the Igbo’s (people from the eastern part of Nigeria).

Ingredients
- 2 garden eggs
- 2 pieces fresh fish
- Spoons of palm oil
- Grounded pepper
- Ugba{ukpaka}
- 3 cups of grated Cassava
- 2 cups of chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon of grounded ehu seeds
- ½ teaspoon of ogiri
- 1 teaspoon of potash
- 1 tablespoon grounded crayfish
- 5 pieces pomo{cow skin }
- ½ cup of chopped utazi leaves
Instructions:
- Place the cassava in warm water then leave it to soak for 40 minutes and allow soaking for 40 minutes then properly drain it.
- Boil the pomo and fish in different pots, they cut your onions
- Pour the potash into a cup with warm water and stir very well
- In a pot, pour in palm oil then add potash mixture, stir the mixture until it is done
- Add pepper, ogiri, crayfish, pepper, ehu, ugba, seasoning and chopped onions
- Carefully Stir the mixture then add cassava into the mixture and stir very well and it’s ready.
