Popular fishes in Africa
Fish are aquatic cold-blooded animal strictly aquatic they are usually the cartilaginous and jawless fishes.

Here is a list of some popular fishes in Africa:
- Tilapia:
Tilapia are freshwater fish living in ponds, streams, rivers, lakes, and river and it is usually not found living in brackish water.

- Yellow fish:
The yellow fish is a species of the subfamily of labeobarus (ray-finned fish). It has become an obtrusive specie in rivers of the Eastern Cape, South Africa, example of it is Mbhashe River.

- Brown tout:
Brown trout is a species of salmonid fish that has been largely introduced into suitable global environment. It includes purely freshwater populations, referred to as the riverine ecotype.

- Catfish:

- Carp:
Carp are numerous species of oily freshwater fish from the Cyprinidae family, While carp is consumed in many parts of the world, they largely considered as an obtrusive species in some parts of Africa, Australia and some parts of the United States.

- Bass:
Bass is a name taken by many species of fish. The name encircles both freshwater and marine species and they all belong to the big order Perciformes or perch-like fishes.
