Most popular African fried dough foods
So we did a compilation of some of Africa’s delicious fried dough food and they include:

- Bambalouni:
Bambalouni are has its Sidi Bou in Tunisia, they are doughnut made from flour, hot water, yeast, and salt and it is fried in hot oil until golden brown, after frying it is advisable you sprinkle some sugar on it to make it more delicious to eat.

- Koeksister:
koeksister is a sumptuous street snack which originates from South Africa, It is made by frying braided dough strips in oil, then putting them in a cold sugary syrup.

- Sfenj:
Sfenj is a popular doughnut-shaped snack, it is sold on the streets of Morocco Street. This snack is usually soft and tender on the inside and could be enjoyed when glazed with sugar.

- Kaimati:
These are sumptuous Kenyan dumplings made from flour, ghee, yeast, water and yogurt. The mix is usually fried in oil until it is brown, this could enjoyed glazed in sugar syrup.

- Mandazi:
Mandazi is a very popular snack in countries like Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, Uganda. This delicious snack is made from the combination of flour, sugar, water, yeast and milk or coconut milk. It could be enhanced by adding almond or grounded peanuts.

- Chebakia:
The Chebakia is a popular Moroccan snack that is made out of dough strips rolled to resemble a rose; it is usually fried until golden.
