Make this easy great-tasting Coleslaw dish
This recipe can be eaten as a main dish and also a side dish too.
Coleslaw is a very quick and easy dish to make that requires a lot of chopping and mixing, it gives your meal a sweet personality.
Mixing / Refrigerating
5 cups of thinly sliced green cabbage
1 cup thinly sliced purple cabbage
2 cups shredded carrots
Creamy Coleslaw dressing
1-2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon white vinegar (adjust until you get your desired tang)
1 cup mayonnaise (cut in half and add more yoghurt, if desired, about 5 ounces)
⅓ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1-2 teaspoons celery seed
- In a small bowl whisk together mustard, salt, sugar, honey, vinegar, mayonnaise, sour cream, pepper, onion powder, and celery seeds. Then refrigerate until ready to use.
2. This step may be done an hour ahead or even a day ahead. In a salad or another bowl, mix together green and purple cabbage, and carrots.
3. Pour the coleslaw dressing into the cabbage mixture and mix it together. Start with a small amount at a time until fully combined.
4. Season with salt and pepper. Keep refrigerated until ready to be used.Tags: Coleslaw
