Here is how to make Plaited Raisin Bread
Who said you can’t make a plaited raisin bread from the comfort of your house, here is a simple step to making a perfect plaited raisin bread.

Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- Cups of bread flour
- ½ cup of golden sultanas
- ½ cup of raisins
- 1 cup of warm water
- 10g active dry yeast
- Egg wash
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- ¼ cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
- ¼ cup of melted butter
- ½ cup of milk
Direction:
- Carefully melt yeast in warm water, then add sugar, salt, spices, raisins, milk and sultanas together in a big bowl then stir till the sugar melts completely.
- Stir in your yeast and the beaten eggs then mix them well till it combines well mix
- Make sure you add plenty into the mixture, so as to make a fluffy but hard dough.
- Knead your though on a floured surface till it is smooth, then dough in a buttered bowl, turning once to oil the surface then cover with a clean nylon or foil paper then leave it in a warm place till it rises.
- Jab dough down and carefully cut it into 8 equal portions, then allow each portion of the dough form into 8 long lengths.
- Repeat the steps repeatedly (do not repeat step 1), then Place it again in a greased baking tray then cover it with a clean nylon or foil paper and leave it to rise then brush the mixture with egg wash.
- Allow it bake for some minutes, you can place a foil paper over the loaf to make it brown, then remove the loaf when it is done.
