It is already known that cabbage is the perfect substitute for rice for people who are on a diet because it is very low in carbohydrate.
People who are on Keto diet, a diet that requires its followers to eat meals high in fat, low in protein and very low in carbohydrate can use the leafy vegetable as an alternative in preparing various meals like regular fried and jollof rice.
It is particularly hard to find meals in Nigeria that are low in carbohydrate but cabbage can act as a good substitute and you can use it in the preparation of cabbage swallow and stir-fry.

Ingredients
Shredded cabbage
Broth
Sesame Oil
Thyme
Curry
Tumeric
Cinnamon
Onions
Pepper
Water
Salt
Instructions
1. Use salt and hot water solution to wash the cabbage, strain it and put it in a clean dry bowl.
2. Place your pan with sesame oil on the heat, pour a bit of the broth in it and mix it with chopped pepper and onions. Stir for about 2 minutes.
3. Season the broth with small portions of thyme, curry, turmeric and cinnamon.
4. Pour in the cabbage and stir fry for some minutes, till cabbage is softened a bit but still crispy. Adjust taste with salt.
Your cabbage stir fry is ready! Serve with meat or fish of choice.
